Through her striking pieces, French artist Lo Breillat creates a poetry-filled world, situated between reality and imagination. She takes inspiration from the world around her, drawing from her experiences living in America, Africa, and Europe. To create her pieces, she paints with a knife, breaking down the material into small squares, which leads to mosaics that are bursting with life and movement. Breillat uses spots of color to suggest shapes and light, in order to provoke emotion from her audience.
