About this artwork
Higher Calling (1) is part of a connected artwork created through a creative experiment.
The starting point was a large piece of fabric, fixed to my painting wall to form a shared background. As layers of color, textures, and details emerged, I cut the fabric into pieces and stretched it onto two canvases.
The painting plays with contrasts and structures, ranging from delicate color transitions in shades of blue and beige to expressive black lines… and golden accents.
And of course, there’s also Higher Calling (2)—they are sibling paintings and complement each other perfectly!

She's a self-taught artist who uses mixed media. Accentuating abstract forms and emotions, her art beautifully binds chaos and order. Through both intuitive and purposeful explorations, she ads depth and texture. Her work vibrates with raw human experiences, endeavoring to rekindle viewers' child-like creativity.
