About this artwork
An abstract experiment in three colors with which I wanted to represent the eternal struggle between classical form and chaos, symbolized by the head of Michelangelo's David and the running horse, which emerge from the fog of chaos like ghosts.
I painted it on a black canvas, with white and cinnabar red heavily diluted with linseed oil, to obtain the drips and the fog effect.
To better convey the idea of the chaos and disorder that the form fights… against, I mixed fibers and small hairs into the white, which simulate a dirty effect.
The edges of the canvas are also painted black.

Tuscan painter devoted to the beauty and culture of his homeland.
Inspired by both Impressionism and the contrasts of Baroque painting, which he rediscovers in the light of the Italian landscape, he developed a style halfway between realism and expressionism.
The absolute protagonist of his paintings is light, which investigates nature in detail, until revealing its metaphysical face.
