About this artwork
The black shapes are directional and when rotated at random angles, create a very kinetic energy. The negative shapes are empathized with a few different colors which tends to "organize" the black shapes. The various colored smaller arc based shapes echo the motif of the black shapes. space around them. Overall, He wants to create a feeling of constant motion, both physical and aural. The 5 darker brownish shapes in the interior are made with a thin scrape of metallic bronze paint, which adds to the overall motion of the painting by reflecting the light in subtle variations. This composition was inspired by the motion and chirping from the dozens of sparrows in his backyard ivy. A very dynamic image. Canvas on heavy duty stretchers with hanging wire attached.
