About this artwork
This painting is part of a much larger series of paintings on 600gsm paper in acrylic paint.
As an artist Louise has always been drawn to the beauty of the worn textures of old buildings this is an ongoing theme in all of her paintings, building up layers of paint that she washes and scraps away to create this body of work.
Living in a beautiful country as Portugal has been her inspiration, it is full of many colourful examples of old decaying buildings,… from painted houses to stone buildings, these colours and textures of wear that the sun and rain have created are wrapped up in this series.
These paintings are painted in acrylic on heavy 600gsm paper and will need to be mounted.
