About this artwork
I wanted to describe, represent, certainly in my own way, an image that does not conform to reality.
Sea at night
You can perceive the rocks, the waves, the foam that the waves produce, barely illuminated by the moon. The vision is magnetic, it attracts like a whirlpool and immobilizes like hell.
I used black acrylic, partly alone, partly added with black pigment to emphasize the deeper black and then tar black spread over a material part made… up of plaster, alabaster, scagliola and glue.
The whole is very suggestive, full of charm.
It harmonises very well with the natural colors of earth, white and dove grey.
It will certainly bring elegance and richness to any environment.
