About this artwork
Here the absence of time and the voice of silence are expressed, the decor bathed in a white and diffused light, coming from an unknown source. Nature seems asleep forever and for a long time, just sketching a breath of life. I felt a certain satisfaction when I saw during creation that I managed quite quickly to materialize the peaceful atmosphere that I imagined, there is always something magical when things settle down quite easily on the canvas,…
making the effort of concentration disappear. Inevitably, I felt a real joy in seeing the painting almost happen by itself, as if I were witnessing its birth by seeing myself painting from the outside. This work is still one of my favorites today.

Luc Andrieux is an artist based in France whose works have been presented in several solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. For him, painting is like a vital necessity. Through his compositions, Andrieux's goal is to generate a questioning contemplation, to freeze time and to induce an atmosphere suggested by the hidden face of the elements. His abstractions, landscapes and figurative works are most often created using acrylics on canvas, oil being reserved for the treatment of more complex effects. Luc Andrieux does not limit himself to a particular style or theme that would limit his expression but chooses those that are most in line with his vision of the moment.
