About this artwork
In this representation of nature in full mutation, I induce the perception at the same time of the two opposite stages of the life cycle, by mixing deconstruction and reconstruction of the same form. The colored elements seem animated by a will of their own in wanting to cross the limits of abstraction to invest the world of the represented. It is as if they were trying to come to life in tangible but not yet completely defined plant characters.…
I personalized this work by the use of pure colors, bright for the most part, giving the whole a more nervous and more electric aspect than in the previous paintings of the series, this in order to accentuate a certain tension. The emergence of two entities placed in the decor gives a more stable aspect to the dynamics of the forms by containing each one in their respective perimeter.

Luc Andrieux is an artist based in France whose works have been presented in several solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. For him, painting is like a vital necessity. Through his compositions, Andrieux's goal is to generate a questioning contemplation, to freeze time and to induce an atmosphere suggested by the hidden face of the elements. His abstractions, landscapes and figurative works are most often created using acrylics on canvas, oil being reserved for the treatment of more complex effects. Luc Andrieux does not limit himself to a particular style or theme that would limit his expression but chooses those that are most in line with his vision of the moment.
