A woman among the chimpanzees
Her first attempts to observe chimpanzees up close fail, the monkeys flee as soon as she approaches. Jane then gradually developed a non-threatening observation method: she showed herself every morning in the same place, near an area where a group of chimpanzees were feeding.
In 1965, she obtained her thesis in ethology, the study of animal behavior in their natural environment, on… the behavior of chimpanzees living in freedom (Behavior of free-living).
In 1977, she founded the Jane Goodall Institute, which supported her research and promoted the conservation of the environment and of chimpanzees in particular.

Luc Debard is a painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in France whose have been exhibited nationally. His works focus on the energy of color and the transposition of emotion. His figurative compositions question the place and the search for meaning, exploring humanity in contemporary society. Debard artistic approach intentionally moves away from realistic figurative. He cites his graphic approach, where not all of the subject's features are shown, as being entirely more intimate.
