About this artwork
In this work the find from the sea is recognizable. As if embedded, sleeping, it lies in the sand, lingering to put down roots again or waiting for the light. In contrast to the work "Impact", this work is calming, but the drama of the subject is still very noticeable. Like a lost part of a plant, it has found a resting point - "embedded sleep".

« There is no end to my work, but I always have to keep an eye on my end before I pass it on. »
Lucas Nagel is a painter and sculptor based in Sweden whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Germany. Through his art, Nagel explores concepts relating to the line as the absolute trace that we leave behind. He also investigates the difficulty, or rather, the courage, to leave "traces" in his art. The fascination for the unlimited variety of nature, especially its forms, has accompanied him since the beginning of my artistic work.
