About this artwork
This photograph was created in a national park during my research into landscape, memory, and perception. The dried flowers immediately reminded me of Monet’s paintings — not because of their exact appearance, but because of the way color, blur, and atmosphere dissolved form into sensation.
Through photography, I wanted to approach painting.
I was interested in creating an image that felt less like documentation and more like memory — something… suspended between nature and pigment.
The softness, instability, and subtle blur are intentional.
The flowers appear almost fragile, fading between presence and disappearance, like traces of a landscape remembered rather than precisely seen.
This work is also a quiet homage to Claude Monet and to the possibility of using photography not only to capture reality, but to transform it into atmosphere, color, and emotion.
