About this artwork
In my work, I explore the depth of the emotional layers that each of us carries within ourselves, using wine and cork recovered from bottles to represent both the fragility and resilience of the human being. Each stripe of color and texture symbolizes different experiences and feelings trapped in time, offering a dynamic and organic vision of internal life. This work is an invitation to reflect on the complexity of our emotions, bringing energy and… introspection into your space.
Luciana Vilas Boas, from breast cancer survivor to artist, uses recycled corks from wine bottles as a medium. He developed an extraordinary technique of cutting and gluing corks, creating shapes like a puzzle, with shades obtained from the pieces naturally colored by the wine. Her works portray her feminine emotions and convey a strong message of recycling, health and love for life.
