About this artwork
In this sculpture, I wanted to capture the evanescent essence of the soul delicately rising from the material. The warm, living wood blends with the solidity of the stone, creating a balance between lightness and strength. This work will convey a calm and meditative energy, inviting the viewer to reflect on the fragility and beauty of life, which fades but leaves profound traces.

Luciano De Barba lives in Limana in the province of Belluno in the heart of the Dolomites. His sculptural training began in 2004, and his artistic adventure began with his first sculpture competition in 2006.
She experiments with different techniques, ranging from figurative to abstract and stylized, alternating smooth and rough surfaces, using rocks and pebbles as bases, and employing color and burn details. Her works evoke lightness, elegance, and delicacy, conveying a profound emotion inspired by nature and its nuances.
Wood, in its various essences, remains the preferred material, but clay also plays an important role in the search for new intertwined and imprisoned harmonies, in perfecting new dictates, in wooden sculpture, thus embracing the origins of the universe. Air, earth, water, and fire, elements from which he draws memory and structure.
