About this artwork
In this wooden sculpture, I wanted to capture the essence of transformation and rebirth, like a fire burning within and freeing the soul. The natural grain of the wood blends with the flames that envelop the figure, imparting energy and movement. I imagine this work will bring warmth and vigor to those who observe it, transforming any space into a living and vibrant space.

Luciano De Barba lives in Limana in the province of Belluno in the heart of the Dolomites. His sculptural training began in 2004, and his artistic adventure began with his first sculpture competition in 2006.
She experiments with different techniques, ranging from figurative to abstract and stylized, alternating smooth and rough surfaces, using rocks and pebbles as bases, and employing color and burn details. Her works evoke lightness, elegance, and delicacy, conveying a profound emotion inspired by nature and its nuances.
Wood, in its various essences, remains the preferred material, but clay also plays an important role in the search for new intertwined and imprisoned harmonies, in perfecting new dictates, in wooden sculpture, thus embracing the origins of the universe. Air, earth, water, and fire, elements from which he draws memory and structure.
