About this artwork
From a soft, almost dissolving space, forms begin to emerge -warm and cool, dense and translucent. They move toward one another, not yet merging, but already losing their edges. In this quiet tension lies the moment before touch, when distance turns into the possibility of closeness.

Cyprus
« By painting I am using many layers of paint, so that the light is coming through the paint . It is amazing to create a new color. »
Ludmila Budanov is an artist based in Cyprus who has exhibited her paintings nationally, as well as in the Netherlands, China, and Taiwan. Being a professional musician, it is also important for her to translate tempo, rhythm, and tonality through her pictorial works. In addition, Budanov also endeavors to express opposing movements and inconsistencies through vibrant shades of color. Inspired by the sea, her underwater abstract landscapes often depict actinias, a water flower.
