In a way, we all live in a bubble. “Pizza Data Bubble” addresses this now global state of our existence in data bubbles. The daily amount of time in which we see the world not directly but through a media screen is increasing. At some point the time comes when our eyes can no longer see the world. This work by Plotters of the Pizza Picture Series is constructed in a crude yet orthogonal or structured manner. Nevertheless, the picture makes a chaotic…
impression. The painter Ludwig Plotter has been sitting behind screens for almost 40 years - fortunately often with interruptions. His painterly credo is: depicting the world is also possible without a computer. Pizza data bubble is roughly, crudely painted in a kind of brut. But the stencil elements for writing and structures were created using computers and foil plotters. The pizza picture motto is emblazoned on the back: painting on the remains of consumption.

Ludwig Plotter is an award-winning artist based in Germany whose paintings have been feautred in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through his distinctive works, he explores themes relating to nature and all that flows within it. For Plotter, there is no difference between technique and painting, just as there is no difference between art and science. He primarily creates with oils, tempera, resin, spray paint, and gouache on canvas.
