Pizza Endbit is one of a long line of works dealing with "bits". The work also belongs to the pizza picture series. The work is a study for the picture "Tilbud 1.19", which was painted in the great heat of 2022 in the shadow of the Hengsberg forest. As a pizza picture, this work seeks the confrontation or - to put it more kindly - the interplay of painting, here landscape painting - and consumer paper background. Ludwig Plotter puts it this way:…
The man of the stone age painted on rock, the man of the consumption time draws on the rock of our time, the consumption paper, here a pizza outer packaging. To stay with the jargon of the advertising on the outer packaging: the picture is not "fresh from the oven", but "fresh in color". Since it is about an examination of "bits" or the "last bit", this picture is also classified under the singulart theme "digital"....
