About this artwork
"Quantum Leap" is a work on a round canvas that invites the viewer to cross the threshold of the invisible. The circular shape, devoid of beginning or end, becomes a metaphor for continuity and transformation, a suspended space in which matter seems to reorganize itself into new possibilities.
Against a deep, almost cosmic, black background, vibrant patches of green and blue emerge. The hues light up like energetic particles, evoking both natural… phenomena and scientific dimensions: illuminated algae in the ocean depths, distant nebulae, electrical impulses coursing through the darkness.
The light seems to emerge from within the color, suggesting a sudden and irreversible transition: the leap, in fact, from one state to another. It is not a gradual transition, but a radical change that shatters the previous equilibrium to generate a new one.
Luigi Monti, a graduate illustrator who has expanded his artistic horizons from abstraction to logos, then to Pop Art mixed with psychedelia. He brilliantly fuses Pop Art with the psychedelic underground creating "Pop Art Psy", characterized by irony and surprise. His works emanate a vibrant joie de vivre, reflecting a paradoxical and surreal vision of the world that fills viewers with wonder and smiles.
