About this artwork
The work Nirvana explores the concept of the dissolution of the ego and the overcoming of dualism. Through rarefied forms and ethereal colors, the painting suggests a state of absolute stillness, of absence and presence fused in a single vibration.
Abstraction here becomes a meditative space, an invitation to detach from the confines of the self, toward a state of pure awareness. Emptiness is not absence, but openness.

Luigi Monti is an Italian painter from Ancona, Italy.
Immediately after his art studies, he devoted himself to abstract painting. In 1990, he held his first group exhibition at the "Ca Bianca Club" in Milan.
After beginning his career in abstract art, he embarked on a figurative path, developing a personal language that combines technical research and contemporary sensibility. Alongside his painting, he has collaborated as a cartoonist for the cultural website ICREWPLAY and designed logos and music covers.
You'll find three series of paintings that span the artist's various phases to date. The largest series is Pop Art Psy, created in 2018.
