About this artwork
'Tempus fugit' is a statement about time. Especially in this moment of Coronavirus, our sense of time is warped and distorted. The artist finds herself noticing what is really important: art, family, love, thought, and creativity. So often in our daily lives we are caught up in activities that take time away from those things that are most important.

Luisa Adelfio is an award-winning painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions in Colombia, Chile, Peru, Italy, and England. She describes her art as relating to memory, personal, collective, and universal. Adelfio believes that as humans, we are united by our collective experiences as well as the experiences of those that lived before us.
