About this artwork
Fire is a spark of light that every human being has the opportunity to pass on, a mission. It can be embraced or ignored. The organic material I used for this work is the result of a process of mutation in a tree that sheds its protective shell, its armor, to reveal a new, more fragile yet extremely luminous appearance.

Luisa Colombini, passionate about painting and drawing since childhood, expresses herself with vivacity through colors and shapes. In her abstract works, she favors an emotional and material approach, creating works that take the viewer on a journey of self-discovery. Her paintings vibrate with changing emotions, fully reflecting Picasso's quote that says "Colors, like features, follow the changes of emotions" and inviting the viewer to get lost... or find themselves. She loves to define her works as 'expressions of imperfection'. The frames that surround them, being entirely handmade by herself, are also perfectly imperfect.
