About this artwork
In the series on the abstraction of natural phenomena, pictures on trees, plants and landscapes have been created for years. Mood and atmosphere and the often observable rapid change is interesting for me. The sun is just shining, it's hot and suddenly there's a thunderstorm with storm, hail and rain. We can observe these phenomena more and more frequently due to climate change. Trees are in an invisible dialogue and exchange with other plants. Seemingly… natural plants thrive in their vicinity, but they favor each other and are connected to each other. The rain is precious.
« If my pictures stimulate calm, deepening, and the encounter with oneself, then the vibration arises that defines us humans as sentient beings. »
Luise Kloos is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Austria whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Hungary, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Croatia, and Germany. Motivated by the immediacy of expression, her abstractions are created with the intent of conveying a sense of tranquility, inviting viewers into "a state that touches them deeply". Kloos's distinctive pieces are made using pencils, ink, and mineral pigments found in the Himalayas.
