The main component and the focal point of my paintings is human. I reflect the feelings of human such as hope, anticipation, expectations, loneliness, fear and desire. I work within a kind of symbolist and fantastic style and create my paintings by using a formal structure that sometimes forces the limits of symbolism and sometimes naturalism. I search for a new adventure and a new meaning in each of my painting. Thus, I prefer… a form of expression on the basis of human.

LUKA is an award-winning painter and printmaker based in Turkey whose works have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Canada, Denmark, and Spain. He describes his art as being based on intangible and concrete cultural heritage from past to present, which he defines as cultural codes. LUKA's compositions combine painting and printmaking techniques using oils, acrylics, and wax on canvas.
