About this artwork
In this work, I captured the complexity of human identity with oil and figurative elements. The fragmented colors and forms reflect inner conflicts and the interplay between clarity and blurriness. It invites us to see ourselves and others in their many facets and to bring the energy of change and depth into our own homes.
« My art celebrates being different, just being yourself. Stories of people who long to belong. »
German artist Lukas Moll creates figurative portraits of fictional characters that explore themes such as identity, belonging, and the feeling of otherness—often with a queer perspective. His melancholic works appear both vulnerable and powerful, inviting the viewer to take a closer look.
He has been working as a self-taught artist for over ten years, exhibiting his works at art fairs and in established galleries and museums. His works are included in private collections at home and abroad.
In addition to his artistic work, he is committed to queer visibility – for example, as founder of the online gallery "Queer Art Hub" for queer artists and host of the podcast Queer Art Talk. In his art, Lukas Moll strives to create emotional depth and create spaces that touch.
