"What A Mess I Am" is a monumental abstract landscape that captures the forest at the edge of dawn. Part of the Blinkered series, the work explores a moment of deep silence and anticipation. Interestingly, this piece was born from a creative mishap; Lukasz Olek intended it for his own bedroom, but in a state of distraction, he used a much larger linen canvas than planned. The resulting work was so vast it no longer fit its intended wall—a situation…

The artist uses a synesthetic approach, translating the rustle of the forest into deep turquoises and earthy underlayers. Technically, the painting is a dialogue between vibrant colors and systematic "toning down" through glazes and aggressive scraping.
