The sea sees you.
I painted this work as a moment of pure energy—waves in motion, colors in conflict, skies in transition.
But it wasn't until later that I noticed: one of the rocks in the foreground resembled a resting little cat, curled up in the middle of the roaring water.
The greenish light in the sky makes the scene almost surreal—as if the sea had a life of its own. Layered acrylics give the water depth and iridescence, from emerald and… violet to sudden flashes of white spray. This work brings energy into the space, but also mystery. It draws the eye in, then challenges it.
