Fascination emanated from a charcoal kiln that a charcoal burner kept glowing for several days until everything was burned. Luzena took the layer of charcoal at the bottom to her studio. In the work aurum carbonicum1 she built a kind of microcosm in the middle part of the picture. Into which the gold shines. Man as a microcosm in the universe.… The surfaces, very finely worked out with colored pencils and chalk, underline the plasticity of this work. They form a contrast to the coarse material used, rust and charcoal. The pigments used, chalk from Provence in southern France, reveal the connection to the earth with which the artist is connected. This work has been extensively described by the internationally renowned art critic Giampaolo Trotta, Florence. Proof of exhibition, publications are enclosed with the work

Barbaras BilderKunst has won several awards for her paintings, which have been extensively exhibited in Europe and the United States. She lives and creates in the microstate of Liechtenstein, situated in the Alps. BilderKunst describes her works as concrete art, which comprises elements of collage painting, assemblage, mixed media, and painting fragment. The themes she expresses are “as complex as life” and represent her attitudes towards colour, shape and symbolism.
