« "A foreboding feeling lives within me, unshaped and without imagination. In the course of the creative act, this takes shape in painted works. I let myself be carried away by the joy of experimenting." »
Barbaras BilderKunst has won several awards for her paintings, which have been extensively exhibited in Europe and the United States. She lives and creates in the microstate of Liechtenstein, situated in the Alps. BilderKunst describes her works as concrete art, which comprises elements of collage painting, assemblage, mixed media, and painting fragment. The themes she expresses are “as complex as life” and represent her attitudes towards colour, shape and symbolism.
