The red dot
Red has long been present in Ly-Rose's painting. Whether it is sun, star, light, life, diabolical virus or beating heart of hope, symbol of the fire which today destroys our forests and our planet, it is also the end point of the canvas, the signature, the center , the core, where, from a symbolic point… of view, everything is at stake.
Ly-Rose presents here a work elaborated over time, where the "red dot", more or less marked and incandescent, buried in the material or scintillating, hidden or shown, bearer of hope or alarm signal, polysemic and chameleon , turns on and off like a common thread.
« It is true both that the world is what we see and that, nevertheless, we must learn to see it.
-Maurice Merleau-Ponty »
"I create dream machines." Ly-Rose has established herself as a unique contemporary artist whose works leave a lasting impression. Her approach seeks to express the inexpressible and translate the raw emotion of a moment. Her paintings are born from profound sensory experiences: a sunset over the Atlantic, the warm resin of pine trees, the breath of the surf—those suspended moments when everything seems to vibrate internally. Through color and texture, Ly-Rose opens spaces of perception and invites each viewer to complete the story. Her semi-abstract canvases are sources of light, energy, and breath. They offer a sensitive relationship with the world, favoring sensation over explanation, emotion over narrative. Through her art, Ly-Rose provides a place where one can dream, feel, and be moved.
