About this artwork
This recent small-format canvas is part of a return to abstraction, always with the "line of life" of the anxiety that pushes me to celebrate the beauty of the world before it falls apart or disappears.
Dense matter of the earth, lightness of water, tree drowned in the light of a golden sky... the natural elements rub shoulders without any desire for figurative representation, but nevertheless very present. In a palette of browns, blues and white… and gold, the orange-red dots also remind us that the earth burns. The rich textures and contrasting colors invite a deep reflection on the indomitable and magnificent nature. It is also a celebration of the silent power and movement of water.
