About this artwork

In these times of confinement, nostalgia rises and yes I miss the pines of my childhood: their smell, the noise in the foliage, the rough trunks on my cheek.
My relationship with trees is very strong: African trees of course, but also olive trees, oaks, umbrella pines, acacias ... For me,… they are the backbone of the world, tell us our own story, teach us wisdom and verticality.
Here work in mixed media, with an oil painting on impasto for the leaves. "Layers and layers that overlap on the canvas ..."
