« Through the recycling of magazines in my work, I am part of this current metamorphosis of consciousness regarding the protection of the planet. Art is there to provide pleasure, but it can also be part of this reasoned approach. »
M. Mermic is an experienced Belgian artist whose works have been exhibited internationally and are held in permanent collections. Growing up in a family of artists, Mermic had his own studio since the age of ten where he explored his creative expression. Today, he forms images on large canvases by layering hundreds of pieces of paper from recycled magazines.
