About this artwork
The composition displays Cubist-like fragmentation and Expressionist lines. Cylinders and eyes form a surreal, mask-like figuration. Dense cross-hatching and red lines create a tension between surface and space, inviting interpretation of identity and social roles.

Behind M45 lies an internationally shaped life story, underpinned by humanitarian responsibility and British discretion. Intense experiences form the inner reservoir of his art. In an intuitive creative process, without preparatory sketches, memories are uncovered and transformed into color, material, and structure.
Often created outdoors, these works develop a unique surface aesthetic through the interplay of layering and weathering. Between gestural abstraction and material density, pictorial spaces emerge in which lived experience is transformed into new forms. They embody resilience and open a space for tranquility, courage, and new visions.
