About this artwork
Inspired by Divan literature and belonging to the “The Zenith of Memory” series, the artwork titled “Fire” engages directly with the literal meaning of fire. It satirically addresses, through the theory of opposites, how fire embodies two conflicting emotions—teaching both patience and anger to humankind. “Fire”, as a physical presence that refuses both extinction and oblivion, represents an endless resistance that finds meaning not in consumption…
but in continuous burning. For this reason, it stands as one of the artist’s most “stubborn” works dealing with social issues.
