About this artwork

I sat leaning against the wall of the yurt in the wind and tried to read. We were the only tourists in the camp and waited for the sun to go down. The family was busy. When I heard the voices, I looked up. The children on the big horse were maybe 12 years old, their legs dangling just below the saddle blanket. Were the cows chasing the dogs or was it the other way around?
