About this artwork
This painting is the first in a new series of much more accessible and mainstream works. It depicts a boat on the ocean: the protective rune on the stern of the boat and the lightning are an allusion to Viking culture, which is part of my origins and which fascinates me.
This painting has the particularity of being painted on the sides: the movement of the waves seems to never stop and literally overflows from the canvas! The play of colors and… the different variations of blue contribute to the dreamlike atmosphere of this work which is intended as an invitation to travel... Embark without hesitation!
