About this artwork
I set out on a journey, inspired by legendary artists. Here you can find the second version of the Basquiat journey. Phew, a lot happens when you're not sitting alone in front of the canvas. What I mean by that... you can find it all in the picture.
It's about a lot of depth, interest, curiosity, youth, thirst for life and I had some areas that I couldn't get involved in, but I'm grateful to have found my balance and the space that this interaction… needs. Maike Barbara Maier is a multidisciplinary artist living in Germany whose work is exhibited and sold worldwide. Originally a graphic designer, her signature is a fascination with experimental versatility in material and style. Maier's classic abstract works on linen also include unique prints on pre-corroded metal plates, pixelated works made from cleaning sponges, and graphic prints with a parallax bend effect. The way she imbues her creations with a positive spirit and comfortable thirst for life with apparent ease makes it so desirable to surround oneself with this energy.
