A minimalist painting in neutral colours of white, blue with a delicate accent of graphite and brown. At first glance, it is associated with an abstract landscape. However, it is a sublime play of colours, planes and lines that sometimes disappear, other times set a boundary. Hand-painted oil paintings on canvas are in fact much more than an addition constituting decoration. Abstraction on canvas can just… as well be the central and key element of the interior, emphasising its character.

Maja Gajewska is a Polish artist who has exhibited her paintings in Switzerland, France, and Poland. Rejecting figurativeness for internal structure, her compositions are characterized by her minimalist approach. Gajewska continuously searches for new forms, lines, and connections between colors. Creating in various mediums, which include spatial installations, illustrations, and graphics, she paints using oils on canvas.
