“Gilded Atlas” is part of the “Gilded Erosion” series and resembles an abstract cartography of time, material, and memory. The composition evokes a landscape without a fixed location—fragments of a world in a state of flux.
Warm, earthy tones meet fractured, golden structures that lie across the surface like tectonic plates. The gold appears not as mere decoration, but as an exposed substance – made visible by erosion,… by layers that detach and rearrange themselves.
Fine cracks and organic textures permeate the work, creating a tension between fragility and permanence. The central structure acts as an anchor point, while the surrounding forms are in motion – a balance between stillness and change.
