About this artwork
The CINEMA collection is a visual tribute to the art of film and a personal reflection on a lifelong connection to the world of movies. Consisting of six paintings, each piece represents a single letter from the word “CINEMA,” forming a unified concept where typography becomes storytelling. Inspired by a previously created 3D artwork, this collection expands the idea into a more immersive and symbolic experience.
At its core, CINEMA explores the… thin line between fiction and reality. Films often mirror life so convincingly that the two begin to blur, yet there is always an invisible boundary separating the screen from the real world. This contrast becomes most tangible in the movie theater — a space where emotions feel real, but the story remains untouchable.
Through this collection, I invite you into that space. Into the quiet darkness, the glow of the screen, and the feeling of being somewhere between illusion and truth.

Maksym Skvortsov (b. May 2, 1995, Poltava, Ukraine) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist whose practice blends emotional expression, raw honesty, and ongoing personal transformation. A graduate of the Lviv National Academy of Arts (Monumental Painting), he participated in the “Silver Easel” competition in 2017 and joined Saatchi Art the same year. From 2018–2020, he co-created the fashion-art brand “Havryliv,” merging painted artworks with designer clothing. His works are held in collections in the USA, Ukraine, Canada, and China. Currently based in Ukraine, Maksym explores themes of psychological depth, personal crisis, and identity through series like Golden Touch, ERA, and Schizophrenia. He exhibits and sells internationally on platforms like Saatchi Art, Singulart, and Zatista.
