About this artwork
After moving to Australia I was inspired by the earthy tones of the landscape which I wanted to represent in this piece. I love the dusty browns, deep reds and brilliantly radiant yellows that splay across the land, a far cry from the colour pallet of my native Japan. This piece symbolizes the overlapping love that is shared between partners and the layers they built throughout their relationship.
