About this artwork
“Feeling” is my portrait of love stretched across distance — a quiet yet powerful tribute to the emotional world of the seafarer and the family left behind.
I painted two faces rising from the sea and sky, shaped from color and memory. Their expressions are soft, knowing, yet waiting — as if they can sense each other even across the vast horizon. Between them, a small sailboat drifts — the vessel that carries dreams, separation, and reunion through… shifting tides.
I filled the canvas with oceanic blues, sun-kissed oranges, and gentle purples to capture the pulse of longing. Abstract houses rest at the edges — symbols of the world that stays, while the waves whisper of journeys not only of the body, but of the heart.
“Feeling” carries the quiet ache of missing someone, and the enduring hope that love will always find its way back.
It is my celebration of love that sails far… yet never drifts apart.
This piece is for anyone who has ever loved someone far away…,.....
I am a self-taught artist shaped by the vastness of the sea and the depths of the inner world. For sixteen years, I lived as a mariner, navigating endless horizons and silent waters, until 2019, when the birth of my daughter became the turning tide. I left the ocean to embark on a new voyage — painting. My work, rooted in abstract expressionism, explores the unseen currents between movement and stillness, solitude and connection. I layer acrylics and oils with brushes, knives, and my hands, guided by instinct, memory, and lived experience rather than formal training. The discipline of the sea remains, but so does its freedom — allowing each piece to evolve without a fixed destination. I do not paint what I see, but what I feel: inner storms, fleeting joys, layered memories. My paintings are not statements, but invitations — for the viewer to step into their own ocean of emotion and imagination.
