About this artwork
When I painted Golden Voyage, I imagined the sea bathed in light so warm it feels almost weightless — a horizon that glows with the quiet promise of open water. The sky leans into golden tones, touched by blushes of rose and whispers of orange, wrapping the boats in an embrace of morning calm.
The twin sails rise like wings — one brushed in deep crimson fading into soft violet, the other in a cascade of turquoise, teal, and sunlit gold. Their reflections… ripple gently across the water, carrying the colors into the stillness below. I wanted the scene to feel suspended in that perfect pause before the wind gathers, when the world is nothing but color, air, and possibility.
For me, this work is about harmony — the companionship of two journeys side by side, each carrying its own story, yet moving together toward the horizon. Every stroke holds both the energy of motion and the serenity of water, a reminder that even the boldest voyages begin in stillness.

I am a self-taught artist shaped by the vastness of the sea and the depths of the inner world. For sixteen years, I lived as a mariner, navigating endless horizons and silent waters, until 2019, when the birth of my daughter became the turning tide. I left the ocean to embark on a new voyage — painting. My work, rooted in abstract expressionism, explores the unseen currents between movement and stillness, solitude and connection. I layer acrylics and oils with brushes, knives, and my hands, guided by instinct, memory, and lived experience rather than formal training. The discipline of the sea remains, but so does its freedom — allowing each piece to evolve without a fixed destination. I do not paint what I see, but what I feel: inner storms, fleeting joys, layered memories. My paintings are not statements, but invitations — for the viewer to step into their own ocean of emotion and imagination.
