About this artwork
Open Creative Processes is a collection of unfinished drawings. Works to remind you that an open creative process is, as in life, a phase that can be contemplated with pleasure and taste. The artist draws all the typical forms of his grammar, he draws them. he calls imprints of style, they are his harmonious deformed creatures and in some works even mushrooms (by www.abusivemushroom.com). His form of using colors, always pure and saturated, is also…
very recognizable, the characteristic of the "unfinished" design lies precisely in the lack of color in some details.

« I love to face the blank canvas by leaving one technique to enter into another. »
Manuel Riccardi is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, France, the Netherlands, the United States, and Switzerland. His creatures, use of pure colors, and shapes that are "harmoniously deformed" all coincide with a perception of the deformed that has accompanied him in all phases of his personal life. Riccardi translates his experiences in childhood and adolescence, as well as being a gay man, with boldness, honesty, and intensity.
