Prince war seit 1978 im Musikgeschäft tätig. Den internationalen Durchbruch schaffte Prince im Jahr 1984 mit der Single und dem Album Purple Rain zum gleichnamigen Film, in dem er auch die Hauptrolle spielt. Zu Lebzeiten wurden weltweit mehr als 100 Millionen seiner Tonträger verkauft… und Prince gewann sieben Grammy Awards, 1985 einen Oscar sowie 2007 einen Golden Globe Award. 2004 wurde er in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen.

Manuela Rathje is an experienced artist from Germany whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. After practicing drawing for awhile, Rathje decided to become a painter, focusing on portraits of both people and animals in bright color palettes.
