About this artwork
Buffer Zone is a work about the creation of open spaces, wilderness and nature conservation.
My work is very close to nature; the free development of nature in national parks and the avoidance of commercial use in order to preserve wilderness are important to me.
The so-called "buffer zones" are intended to shield nature against negative external influences and also to ensure an intact natural environment for future generations.
I created a paper… collage for the "Wilderness" using Japanese paper. Through the violent clash of colors and textures, I strive to capture the chaotic beauty of human emotion. Every stroke, every line carries a story of passion and struggle that burns into the viewer's consciousness, creating a profound, emotionally reactive experience. This artwork is intended to enliven your spaces with energy and discussion material.

"I often use my canvases like a diary, like containers full of remarkable things, a kind of 'reserve for special moments'.
My art is very close to nature. A painting absorbs so much of what surrounds me, even if I don't want it to. It creates a deeper thought behind the visual appearance.
The line is important to me, it sets the rhythm: free, lively, dancing, adventurous, organic like a plant growing from a point and following its own logic with a style that gives feelings free space to develop and generates invented landscapes."
Manuela Wutschke studied geography, geology and foreign languages at the University of Bucharest and regularly attended art seminars over the years. In 2020, she studied fine arts at the Free Art Academy in Augsburg, class of Andrea Rozorea. Two more years followed in 2022 and 2023 in Rainer Kaiser's class, also in Augsburg, Free Art Academy.
