Porträts die aus realen Begegnungen entstehen. Ich male nach dem Leben und verstehe das Porträt als einen Akt der Aufmerksamkeit. Durch Zeit, Gespräch und Beobachtung entsteht ein Raum, in dem Menschen jenseits ihrer Rollen sichtbar werden.
Mich interessiert nicht die äußere Ähnlichkeit, sondern die emotionale Präsenz eines Menschen. Farbe wird zu einer Sprache, die Verletzlichkeit, Stärke und Menschlichkeit sichtbar macht.
