The feet getting wet on the soft sand, the sunset, and the ocean with warm crisp water inviting you to swim on this summer hot evening.
The shores of the Barcelona ocean, the clear water, looking down and being able to see your feet because the water is so clean! the rocks... the Mediterranean ocean is just amazing... and I needed to create a piece to recreate that feeling I got whenever I was able to visit those beaches.

Mara Szyp is an experienced artist from Canada whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows nationally. Influenced by her mother's artistic gifts, Szyp developed her own practice later in life as a means of healing, and found her main source of inspiration as the sea. Working mainly in oil and acrylics, she paints colorful nude portraiture and seascapes in soft color palettes.
