I started again at it. This particular piece have gone through so many touches.
Horses are so extremely beautiful and yet, one of those subjects that if you make it less then perfect it will literally look like an alien.
(Or what an alien looks like me I guess lol)
Anyway “Chestnut” is done.
I feel content with how it looks and I really like his eye and his tone of hair. What do you think? #horse

Mara Szyp is an experienced artist from Canada whose paintings have been featured in solo and group shows nationally. Influenced by her mother's artistic gifts, Szyp developed her own practice later in life as a means of healing, and found her main source of inspiration as the sea. Working mainly in oil and acrylics, she paints colorful nude portraiture and seascapes in soft color palettes.
