Monotype, single print, original
The work is a one-off that was created as a monotype in the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin. Colors were superimposed in several printing processes on an offset machine, resulting in slight shifts in the color definition and allowing a transcendence of the color composition. Marc Schmitz's monotypes have been exhibited internationally at biennials and in galleries and are represented in various international collections.

Marc Schmitz is an award-winning conceptual multi-disciplinary artist based in Berlin and Ulaanbaatar. His works have been exhibited internationally and are represented in private and public collections worldwide. Schmitz's multi-disciplinary art explores the foundations of the different materials he works with, seeking to challenge their limits. His pieces convey sensuality and introspection, inviting the viewer to enter into a mutually-constructive dialogue while addressing the limitless space with all of the viewer’s basic senses.
